2nd Quarter 2015 Home Prices
Salt Lake County home sales prices continued their upward trend in the 2nd quarter 2015. The median sales price for a single family home rose 8.43% in the quarter, to stand at $276,500. This home price appreciation was on the back of increased sales, which climbed 15.61% to 3865. Homes were also selling faster taking just a median of 14 days to go under contract.
While the vast majority of zip codes increased in value, there were 3 areas that did experience declines. These were Holladay 84124 down 5.97%, Riverton 84065 down 1.70% and Taylorsville / Murray 84123 down 3.56%. The strongest performing area was Murray 84107 which saw a very respectable 20.93% increase.
