3rd Quarter 2012 Home Prices
Utah County home prices were on the increase in the 3rd quarter 2012. The median home price for a single family home broke the $200,000 mark, climbing 5.30% to $208,500. There were a total of 1296 homes sold in the quarter, the highest number since the 4th quarter 2006. Another encouraging sign is the fall in the median days on market which continues to fall, and is now at 42 days, a drop of 40.85%.
When we look at the northern Utah County zip codes, most of the areas saw their median home prices go up, with only 3 declining. The best performing area was American Fork 84003 which increased a very respectable 27.51%. Those areas that went down were Alpine 84004 down 7.23%, Lindon 84042 down 19.57% and Payson 84651 down 3.28%.
