2nd Quarter 2016 Home Prices
It was another strong performance for home prices in the 2nd quarter 2016, with all but one zip code seeing the median sales price increase for single family homes. The new median sales price for a home stood at $300,000, which was an increase of 8.50% when compared to 2nd quarter 2015. All this was with no real change to the number of homes sold, in fact they declined slightly, with 3919 home sales, a small drop of 0.81%.
The best performing zip codes in the quarter were Holladay 84117 up 20.02%, Salt /Lake City 84105 up 21.16% and Murray 84123 up 20%. The only area that saw its median sales price decline was Sandy 84092 which declined 5.21%.
