1st Quarter 2012 Home Prices
For the first time in a long time Southern Davis County zip codes saw an equal number of price increases as decreases. In the 1st quarter 2012 5 zip codes increased their single family median home price, with the best performing being Farmington which returned a very impressive 19.21%. Unlike previous quarters those zip codes that went down in home price only experienced single digit declines, not the double digits we have been used to seeing.
For the entire Davis County area the median sales price for a single family home declined 4.10% to $187,000. The number of homes sold in the quarter saw a sharp rise, increasing over 23%, while the time taken to sell a home went down, decreasing 5.31% to 107 days.
