Draper History
Draper was settled in the 1849, by pioneers spreading out from Salt Lake City into the rest of the valley. Its land compared to the rest of the Salt Lake Valley was comparatively lush and good for raising cattle. Draper was named after William Draper who was the first presiding elder of the LDS church.
