The median price for a Salt Lake County home climbed from $250,000 to $255,000 over the last 12 months, that’s a rise of just 2%. This slowdown in home price appreciation was accompanied by a reduction is homes sold which dropped from 3,587 to 3,333 (down 7.08%) and an increase in the time it took to sell a home which climbed from just 14 days to 26 days.
With all three indicators going in the wrong direction it is worth noting that these figures are still pretty good, and point the way to a more balanced market or normal real estate market.
